We bridge clients and partners & professionals throughout the talent supply chain, for the benefit of individuals, organizations and society. 🔹 For our Client from banking industry we are looking for 🔹 IFRS 18 Subject Matter Expert 🔹 Location: Warsaw, Poland Services providing model: Hybrid (minimum 40% from the office) Engagement Type: Contract / Consulting Assignment Time Allocation: Approximately 60% About the Role We are seeking an experienced IFRS 18 Subject Matter Expert to support a high-profile audit engagement focused on the implementation of IFRS 18. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to the audit team, providing deep technical expertise on IFRS 18 requirements, key areas of judgment, implementation approaches, and market practices. You will help assess the design and effectiveness of financial reporting processes and controls while supporting audit procedures related to the adoption of the new standard. This assignment is ideal for a senior professional with a strong background in IFRS advisory, financial reporting, accounting policy, or external audit. Key Responsibilities Provide technical expertise on IFRS 18 implementation requirements and practical application. Advise audit teams on key accounting judgments, interpretation matters, and emerging market practices. Conduct or support process walkthroughs related to IFRS 18 implementation. Perform and support operational effectiveness testing of relevant controls. Review financial reporting processes and assess compliance with IFRS 18 requirements. Identify implementation risks, control gaps, and areas requiring management judgment. Collaborate with audit teams and stakeholders to address technical accounting matters. Deliver clear and concise guidance on complex IFRS topics to both technical and non-technical audiences. Required Experience & Qualifications Extensive experience with IFRS reporting and interpretation. Strong knowledge of IFRS 18 and its implementation requirements. Hands-on experience conducting walkthroughs and controls testing within audit or compliance environments. Strong understanding of internal controls over financial reporting. Ability to analyze complex accounting matters and provide practical recommendations. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Fluent English, both written and spoken.
