For our client Volvo Cars we are looking for an In-car Test Engineer. As part of the PKI team at Connected Experience, you will spend a lot of time in cars and sometimes you are on expeditions testing our system for longer time periods and specific conditions. The communication and collaboration – within the team and towards other teams - are essential. This means that you have daily contacts with the In-car Testing Lead as well as the different ARTs and their development teams depending on today’s testing focus or if issues are found. Troubleshooting and understanding the full system are keys. You should deliver your message about a non-working part of the system in clear way and where the issue likely is located as well as the correct logs. You know how electrical system is working in the car and how to connect your equipment. Sometimes, an issue is hard to reproduce in complete car environment. Then if needed, you will need to do a deep dive taking help from other teams and also see if it is possible to re-trigger the issue in lab environment (i.e. HILs or subsets). The personal network is essential to build up, including people from workshops, complete vehicle organisation, all delivering ARTs, and more. Main responsibilities • Perform cross-functional validation of complete infotainment system and its HMI. Focus is on non-functional testing and/or issues that are difficult to find in less complex environment (than domain level) • Perform testing of new SW-deliveries in vehicle on daily/weekly basis • Plan and execute cross-functional expeditions • Provide weekly summary • Write test analysis and test specifications Required qualifications • You have minimum a B.Sc. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent experience • You have documented experience of Automotive and Infotainment • You are fluent in English (written and spoken) • You have a valid Swedish driver’s license • You have a truly interested in cars and technology in general. • You take on obstacles that occur in the field as challenges Personal qualities • Analytical • Curious • Communicative • Collaborative • Quality focused • Perseverant PLEASE NOTE!
