Industrial Engineer (m/f/d) - UGV

As an Industrial Engineer UGV (m/f/d) , you will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and scaling the production processes for our unmanned ground systems at our Göppingen site. In this role, you will play a key part in transforming our LAND production from prototype-driven manufacturing into a robust, repeatable, and scalable serial production environment. You will work closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, Testing, and Logistics teams, creating and maintaining work and inspection instructions while actively contributing your process expertise to the continuous improvement of both the product and the manufacturing process. What is your Day to Day Mission: Develop, optimize, and standardize assembly and testing processes for Mandrill UGVs and future LAND platforms. Create and maintain work instructions (WI) and quality inspection instructions (QI) in Operations1. Plan production layouts, analyze cycle times, and perform capacity planning for assembly and testing lines. Conduct time studies, process analyses, and line balancing activities to improve throughput and efficiency. Support validation builds and Low-Rate Initial Production (LRIP) ramp-up activities, ensuring stable quality, cycle times, and output levels. Evaluate and implement tooling, fixtures, and workstation equipment to improve manufacturing performance. Perform root cause analyses for process and quality deviations and develop sustainable corrective actions. Collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality, Production, Logistics, and Prototyping teams to provide Design-for-Manufacturing (DfM) feedback. Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of production processes, product design, and workplace ergonomics.
