When a suitable opportunity becomes available, we will review your application and contact you if your skills and experience match our requirements.</p><p><br>At KOMPAN, our Aftersales department delivers high-quality on-site inspections, repairs, full refurbishments, and maintenance across playground equipment from all manufacturers — including those no longer in operation.</p><p>This is a great opportunity to be part of a well-established business, supporting an expanding client base with ongoing inspection and maintenance services.</p><h3>The Role</h3><p>As an Inspection & Maintenance Engineer, you will:</p><ul><li><p>Carry out operational inspections and repairs </p></li><li><p>Regularly visit our central storage facilities to collect and replenish parts</p></li><li><p>Ensure all inspections comply with BS EN 1176 standards</p></li><li><p>Use the Play Inspection Company app (or similar software) to document findings</p></li></ul><p>Your responsibilities will include:</p><ul><li><p>Completing operational inspections and risk assessments</p></li><li><p>Capturing accurate information for repair quotations (measurements, quantities, photographs, manufacturer details)</p></li><li><p>Planning inspections efficiently, taking into account weather, traffic, and local conditions</p></li><li><p>Contacting customers to confirm inspection dates and times</p></li><li><p>Maintaining effective communication with the office team</p></li><li><p>Identifying opportunities for larger repair and refurbishment works</p></li><li><p>Carrying out minor corrective repairs where required</p></li><li><p>Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard</p></li></ul><p>In addition, you will:</p><ul><li><p>Manage vehicle stock and request replenishment as needed</p></li><li><p>Conduct stock checks when required</p></li><li><p>Maintain tools, equipment, and PPE in good condition</p></li><li><p>Contribute ideas to improve efficiency</p></li><li><p>Support and train colleagues where needed</p></li><li><p>Comply with company policies, including vehicle care and code of conduct</p></li><li><p>Work safely at all times and use appropriate PPE</p></li></ul><h3>Your Profile</h3><p>We are looking for a practical, customer-focused individual who can work independently and take ownership of their workload.</p><p><strong>Experience & Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Experience in construction, maintenance, or service engineering</p></li><li><p>Practical skills such as woodworking, surface repair, painting, and mechanical repairs</p></li><li><p>Strong customer service and communication skills</p></li><li><p>Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office</p></li><li><p>Full, clean UK driving licence</p></li><li><p>RPII Operational Inspection qualification (or willingness to obtain)</p></li><li><p>Ability to travel daily</p></li><li><p>Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check</p></li></ul><p><strong>Personal Skills:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Self-motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative</p></li><li><p>Strong organisational and planning skills</p></li><li><p>High attention to detail and accuracy</p></li><li><p>Able to manage multiple tasks effectively</p></li><li><p>Proactive problem-solver with a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude</p></li><li><p>Team player with good collaboration skills</p></li><li><p>Quick to learn and adaptable</p></li><li><p>Committed to delivering excellent customer service</p></li></ul><h4><strong><em>KOMPAN -</em></strong><em>  </em><strong><em>Who are we?</em></strong></h4><p><em>KOMPAN is a global leader in outdoor play and fitness solutions.
