Primary Responsibilities     In-charge performing quantity and quality inspection or verification of ships, barges and pipeline transfers of petroleum, petrochemical and chemical products in accordance with the management system, applicable international and local standards and customer requirements. In-charge of performing measurements and calibration jobs in accordance with company standards, legal and client requirements. Specific Responsibilities Inspection Performs visual inspection, volume measurement, temperature measurement, and sampling of products in vessels, barges, pipelines, shore tanks, and other storage facilities. Reviews and understands customer instructions, job orders, and operational requirements prior to performing inspection activities. Attends and monitors loading, unloading, transfer, and displacement operations involving petroleum, petrochemical, and chemical products. Reports punctually to assigned job sites and coordinates effectively with vessel personnel, terminal representatives, transport personnel, customers, and SGS staff. Adheres to all applicable safety rules, operational procedures, and customer requirements while performing assigned duties. Immediately reports operational issues, discrepancies, incidents, hazards, or customer concerns to the Operations Executive. Accurately calculates loading, discharge, transfer, and inventory quantities and prepares inspection reports within established timelines. Completes, signs, and submits field inspection reports for services performed. Labels, handles, preserves, and delivers samples in accordance with SGS procedures and customer requirements. Prepares all required documentation, equipment, tools, materials, and personal protective equipment (PPE) before proceeding to the work site. Maintains work areas, records, equipment, and supplies in a clean, organized, and serviceable condition. Ensures that all equipment is in good operating condition, properly calibrated, verified, and clean. Performs routine equipment verification and function checks and monitors the availability of the equipment and supplies needed for the inspection job. Reports any equipment or supply requirements to the Operations Executive. Maintains work areas, records, and equipment in a clean, organized, and functional condition. Assists in investigations relating to customer complaints, nonconformities, incidents, and audit findings as directed by management. Performs inspection assignments in other operational areas as required to support customer commitments and business needs. Calibration and Verification Ensures that work instructions and technical requirements are clearly understood before commencing activities. Prepares and verifies equipment suitability, identification status, calibration validity, and verification records before use.  Performs calibration, verification, and measurement activities in accordance with SGS procedures, API (American Petroleum Institute) standards, statutory requirements, and customer specifications. Prepares accurate calibration and measurement reports and performs quality checks before submission. Ensures equipment remains fit for purpose and properly maintained while under assigned custody. Maintains communication with the Operations Executive regarding job progress, equipment status, and operational updates. Other Duties and Responsibilities Performs related duties to achieve respective section’s goals or for personal, or professional training, education or development as programmed by the immediate supervisor. Works with the highest ethical standard, in accordance with the SGS Code of Integrity. Participates in bid preparations and customer visits with the Operations Executive and Admin Coordinator. Assists in the procurement of operational materials, including equipment parts and consumables. Collect payments from customers and deposits checks as required. Assists in the upkeep of the laboratory, office, and sample retention area. Complies with the Quality, Health and Safety, Environment and Energy (QHSEE) policies and supporting objectives including, but not limited to: Demonstrates strong obligation to SGS QHSEE policies, procedures and work instructions by actively participating in meetings, projects and events, completes required training, intervenes in unsafe situations, refuses unsafe work, and complies fully with all applicable laws and regulations related to HSEE Immediately addresses emergency situations and assists other staff members in maintaining readiness to respond to emergencies within the workplace Disposes or directs the disposal of waste generated as a part of daily work performed in a safe manner and in compliance with the disposal regulations and requirements, and in accordance with SGS Environmental Management System requirements. Reports incidents, including near misses and hazards, that may affect the achievement of QHSEE objectives in accordance with SGS Incident Reporting and Management requirements Efficiently uses equipment, including safety gadgets and company owned property in the manner intended and reports any damaged / lost equipment to the Operations Executive. Maintains a safe and tidy worksite according to the organization’s 5S program and guidelines. Maintains awareness of the safety and health related hazards and environmental aspects and proposes action plans to control the risks to immediate superior or QHSEE Coordinators. Actively participates in incident investigations and risk assessments as deemed necessary by SGS management. Fulfills the requirements needed in the success of the QHSEE Management System Recognizes the potential consequences of not following the established policies, procedures, and guidelines, including not fulfilling the organization’s compliance obligations.
