IT Business Consultant Purchasing (m/f/div)
Key Responsibilities: Analyze and clarify complex business requirements from global NPM Purchasing stakeholders, covering both change requests and project-related demands Advise business departments, process owners, and key users on solution designs for global, end‑to‑end purchasing processes Coordinate or implement enhancements for standard and custom-developed applications across various technologies (Cloud, On‑Prem, JavaScript, FIORI, etc.) Maintain and continuously improve existing applications throughout their lifecycle in alignment with Incident and Change Management processes Execute software maintenance activities, including applying release notes, support packages, and upgrades Actively participate in global IT projects, managing deliverables and ensuring alignment across multiple regions Coordinate internal and external developers/consultants for global IT initiatives Plan, execute, and validate testing activities to ensure high-quality solution delivery Collaborate closely with global colleagues across Purchasing, Logistics, Finance, Controlling and Quality, ensuring alignment with internal customers worldwide Provide regular and ad-hoc status reports to project steering committees at executive level Work within a complex system landscape consisting of 10+ productive SAP systems and various cloud and non-SAP solutions supporting global purchasing processes Academic degree in technical or economic studies, or a comparable professional qualification Experience as an IT Solution Consultant Full‑stack development experience and familiarity with SAP BTP are considered a plus Knowledge of purchasing processes, ideally within the automotive industry beneficial Expertise in SAP MM, including customizing, ABAP, and technical interfaces is a plus Knowledge of additional interface modules is beneficial Familiarity with SAP SRM, Ariba, Coupa, or other leading P2P platforms; experience in IT project management is an advantage Business‑fluent English, both written and spoken Structured, results‑oriented, and independent working style Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills High level of commitment, flexibility, and strong communication and intercultural skills Willingness to travel (up to 20%) Applications from people with disabilities are welcome.
