We're Hiring for Two Different Roles As we prepare for the busy Christmas season and another exciting year ahead, we are expanding our shop team and are currently recruiting for two different positions: 1. Seasonal Shop AssistantDecember 2026 – Mid January 2027 Fixed-term employment Approximately 80% employment rate Perfect for someone looking for a seasonal role during our busiest period 2. Shop Assistant – Hourly Employee Occasional shifts Hourly employment for occasional shifts throughout the year Ideal for someone seeking flexible work alongside studies or other commitments Opportunity to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and cover additional staffing needs About the Role As a Shop Assistant at ABBA The Museum, you are a key part of the guest experience. You welcome visitors from all over the world and help them find products that extend the magic of their visit, from iconic ABBA merchandise to unique souvenirs and gifts.As part of the Christmas and New Year team, you are expected to work during key holiday trading days, including Christmas Eve (24 December) and New Year's Eve (31 December), when the museum welcomes guests from around the world. Your responsibilities include: Greeting and assisting guests in a warm, personal, and professional manner. Actively working with sales, recommending products, and guiding guests to the right purchase. Supporting upselling to achieve targets such as conversion, average receipt, and UPT. Keeping the shop attractive, well-stocked, and easy for guests to navigate. Handling cashier duties with accuracy and excellent customer service. Assisting with deliveries, unpacking, replenishment, and stockroom routines. Contributing to a positive team spirit and supporting colleagues during busy periods. Who You Are We strive to give every guest a world-class experience, and we are looking for someone who: Has at least one year of retail experience. Enjoys meeting people and feels confident in customer-facing situations. Is driven, goal-oriented, and motivated by sales. Is responsible, structured, and detail-oriented. Takes initiative and enjoys solving problems. Thrives in a dynamic environment and is comfortable adapting to both busy periods and quieter days, taking initiative to keep the shop well-presented and running smoothly at all times. Has an interest in music, culture, fashion, or creative environments. Contributes with positive energy, engagement, and team spirit. Speaks English confidently, and additional languages are a strong advantage. Merits Experience working with KPIs and sales targets. Experience in visual merchandising. Previous experience in tourism, hospitality, museums, attractions, or destination retail. Employment Details Seasonal employment from December 2026 to mid January 2027. Availability to work on Christmas Eve (24 December) and New Year's Eve (31 December) is required. There may be an opportunity to continue working on an occasional hourly basis after the Christmas and New Year period, depending on business needs. Work includes weekdays, evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Collective agreement: Visita–HRF. You report to the Shop Manager. Join Us!
