Legal Counsel

Key Responsibilities - Draft, negotiate and manage all commercial agreements relating to production, marketing and distribution of Ubisoft video games, as well as cross-functional Group topics, covering a range of third-party contractual relationships, including: Service agreements related to game development; Marketing-related agreements (agents, talent, etc.); License agreements, both granted and received; Distribution; IT agreements (software for production teams). - Act as a business partner for production, development and marketing teams - providing practical, tailored legal advice on IP/IT and cross-functional topics, and translating complex legal issues into clear, actionable guidance throughout the creative and development process. - Support and train production, development and marketing teams (including international creative teams) to adopt sound legal judgment that free up creativity, notably through legal review and validation of content integrated into games. - Contribute to structuring and documenting the team's resources - building practical legal tools, templates and an effective legal knowledge hub for internal clients, and driving continuous improvement of standard agreements and legal processes. - Monitor legal developments and commercial trends in the video game industry and the broader innovation sector likely to impact Ubisoft's production activities. - Ensure compliance with Ubisoft's business requirements, internal policies and risk tolerance.
