A transfer pricing specialist and a VAT adviser don’t share the same day, the same rules or the same pressure points. What they do share is the work underneath: reading, analysing and writing about large volumes of documents, under tight deadlines, where mistakes are not an option. That is exactly where Legora is strongest. We’re building a dedicated Tax team within Legal Engineering, part of a wider Tax & Audit group focused on leading professional services firms, including the Big 4 and law firms with tax practices, and the in-house tax departments of large companies. As a Legal Engineer, you’ll be a trusted adviser to these clients, helping them get the most out of Legora through carefully crafted workflows built around how their teams actually work. You’ll bring deep expertise from your area of tax and work alongside teammates from other tax specialisms, often sharing the same clients. You’ll also collaborate closely with our Audit colleagues, who serve many of the same firms, usually working with different teams within them. Let’s get the tricky part out of the way: this role doesn’t fit neatly into a traditional box. It’s part tax specialist, part product expert, part solutions architect and part client whisperer. If you want a role that stays static, this probably isn’t it. Your mission is to help some of the most sophisticated tax advisory teams in the world get the absolute most out of Legora. Where you come in You’ll help tax teams at advisory firms, law firms and in-house tax departments use Legora to: - run tax due diligence across hundreds of documents in hours, not weeks - compare legislation, guidance and case law across jurisdictions - review intercompany agreements and support transfer pricing documentation at scale - draft and quality-check tax memos and opinions faster, without lowering the bar - support tax compliance, reporting and controversy work, from Pillar Two analysis across jurisdictions to responding to tax authority enquiries What you’ll do - Be a trusted adviser. Partner with people at professional services firms to understand how their teams really work, find where AI makes the biggest difference, and become the person they can rely on to get the most out of our platform. - Own pilots and rollouts. Together with our Go-To-Market and Customer Success teams, take a client from a first demo with one team to adoption across service lines, functions and countries. - Craft the workflows professionals use every day. Design practical ways for tax teams to analyse documents, review information and draft advice in Legora, so clients get the full value of the platform. - Demo and train. Show tax teams what Legora can do and train them to use it, in the language of their profession rather than tech jargon. You may be presenting to a head of tax in a first meeting or training a tax team of hundreds during a rollout. - Shape the product. Be the voice of tax users inside Legora. Your insights feed directly into our roadmap. - Be their transformation partner. Help clients think through what AI means for their service lines and operating models, quality and risk frameworks, and the way they build teams. What this role is, and isn’t - It is client-facing, hands-on and advisory. Clients will rely on your professional judgement and experience to help them put Legora to work in their teams. - It isn’t a coding role. You don’t need to be an engineer, just genuinely curious about how the technology works. - It isn’t a sales role. There is no sales quota. You’ll support new-client conversations through demos and pilots, but your success is measured by adoption and client value: how many professionals use Legora in their daily work, and how much value they get from it. - It is a step away from the traditional partner or head-of-tax track. In return, you get a front-row seat to, and a hand in, transforming your whole profession. What you bring - 4+ years in tax at a Big 4 firm, a law firm or comparable professional services practice, or in an in-house tax department. - You’ve never been content with how things have always been done, and you have a track record of improving them.
