Logistics Engineer

Responsibilities : 30% Develop logistic metrics, internal analysis tools, or key performance indicators for business units. 10% Conduct logistics studies or analyses, such as time studies, zero-base analyses, rate analyses, network analyses, flow-path analyses, or supply chain analyses. 20% Identify cost-reduction or process-improvement logistic opportunities. 20% Analyzing Data or Information — Identifying the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts. 10% Design plant distribution centers. 5% Evaluate the use of technologies, such as global positioning systems (GPS), radio-frequency identification (RFID), route navigation software, or satellite linkup systems, to improve transportation efficiency. 5% Conduct environmental audits for logistics activities, such as storage, distribution, or transportation. Perform data analysis and requirements. Site evaluation, site and building requirements. Planning process and material flow, Warehouse-Infrastructure & layout planning. Productivities & staff requirements. Establish and plan budgeting investments and project costs. Project planning for timelines and milestones. Understanding and developing of layouts.   Bachelor’s degree in industrial or supply chain engineering or equivalent work experience. At least 2 years of experience in a maintenance, industrial or manufacturing engineering capacity. Ability to travel up to 25% within the US, with potential for international travel, if needed.
