M&A Manager Nordics
Do you want to shape COWI's future growth through strategic acquisitions and partnerships in the Nordics? Can you originate, evaluate, and execute complex M&A transactions from opportunity to closing? And are you a commercially minded M&A professional with solid financial and stakeholder management skills? Then, we would love to hear from you.
Create the solutions that will enable a better tomorrow
At COWI, we create sustainable solutions that shape a better future for people, communities, and societies across the world. To enable COWI's strategic growth ambitions through acquisitions and partnerships, we are looking for an M&A Manager to join our team.
In this role, you will identify and evaluate new growth opportunities, lead complex transactions from origination to closing, and help shape the future direction of one of the leading consulting engineering companies in the Nordics. You will work in our key markets and geographies; including Sweden, Norway and Denmark. You will work closely with senior leaders across the business and report to Bojan Gujic, Group Head of M&A and Strategy.
Your key responsibilities will be:
Drive COWI's M&A pipeline by identifying, assessing, and engaging acquisition targets aligned with our strategic growth ambitions across Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
Lead end-to-end M&A transactions, managing the full deal lifecycle from initial screening and valuation through due diligence, negotiation, signing, and closing.
Deliver strategic and financial analyses, developing business cases, valuations, and investment recommendations to support executive decision-making.
Partner closely with country leadership teams, business units, and external advisors to identify and develop acquisition opportunities, build organizational alignment, and ensure successful execution and long-term value creation from M&A activities.
Your skills. Our team. Together we design the future
The first step to success in this role is that you are eager to collaborate with the people around you, whether they are colleagues, partners or customers. Developing ties with others is something you do by acting respectfully and delivering on your promises. And you never get set in your ways, but keep exploring new insights and ways to improve.
On top of that, you will have:
A Master's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Strategy, Accounting, or a related discipline.
Strong financial modelling, valuation, and business case development skills.
Experience leading or supporting M&A transactions, corporate development initiatives, or strategic investments.
Effective stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence senior decision-makers.
An ability to manage complex projects and drive results across multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
Proficiency in English and Swedish and/or another Nordic language is considered an advantage.
