responsibilities. Coordinate the collection, review, validation, approval, and submission of data used in regulatory reports and filings. Identify potential compliance gaps, missed obligations, or emerging risks and promptly escalate them with recommended corrective actions. Maintain documentation demonstrating compliance, including approvals, correspondence, filing confirmations, licenses, workpapers, supporting calculations, and audit records. Energy Contract Administration Administer the post-execution lifecycle of the company’s energy-related agreements, which may include: Electric utility service and large-load agreements. Interconnection and transmission agreements. Retail and wholesale power supply agreements. Power purchase agreements. Natural gas supply and transportation agreements. Credit support, collateral, guaranty, and security arrangements associated with energy transactions. Enter and maintain contractual compliance, notice, and performance timelines in the company’s contract-management or compliance-tracking systems. Track upcoming milestones and provide advance notice to responsible business owners. Coordinate required contractual notices, certifications, reports, approvals, amendments, extensions, assignments, and renewals. Support Legal and Energy teams during contract negotiations by providing historical records, obligation analyses, operational data, and administrative coordination. Partner with Finance, Treasury, Credit, Energy Procurement, and Operations to monitor deposits, letters of credit, guaranties, collateral postings, credit requirements, and other financial assurance obligations. Compliance Controls, Systems, and Reporting Design and maintain scalable policies, procedures, checklists, calendars, workflows, responsibility matrices, and approval controls. Establish quality-control procedures for validating regulatory filings and contractual deliverables before submission. Develop dashboards and management reports covering filing status, upcoming deadlines, contract milestones, open issues, regulatory developments, audit activity, and compliance risks. Maintain accurate information in regulatory, contract-management, enterprise resource planning, and document-management systems. Identify opportunities to automate recurring filings, reminders, document collection, data validation, and management reporting. Lead process-improvement initiatives that improve accuracy, reduce manual effort, clarify ownership, and strengthen audit readiness. Maintain appropriate document-retention, version-control, and confidentiality practices. Cross-Functional Coordination and Leadership Build effective working relationships with utilities, regulatory agencies, ISO/RTO organizations, energy suppliers, consultants, outside counsel, and other external stakeholders. Partner with Data Center Operations to ensure that site-level requirements, reporting obligations, operating restrictions, and contractual commitments are understood and implemented. Work with Legal to interpret regulatory and contractual requirements. This role is not expected to provide legal advice. Train business owners on compliance responsibilities, documentation standards, contract requirements, and escalation procedures. Manage, mentor, and develop regulatory analysts, contract administrators, consultants, or other support resources as assigned. Required Qualifications Eight or more years of progressively responsible experience in energy regulatory compliance, regulatory reporting, utility administration, energy contract administration, or a related function. Meaningful experience in the electric power, natural gas, utility, retail energy, wholesale energy, or ISO/RTO sectors. Demonstrated experience managing high-volume, deadline-driven regulatory filings or similar compliance obligations across multiple jurisdictions. Experience coordinating with state regulatory agencies, utilities, ISO/RTO organizations, legal counsel, and internal business functions. Strong understanding of regulatory calendars, licensing requirements, reporting obligations, audits, document controls, and compliance evidence. Ability to read contracts, tariffs, regulations, and agency instructions and translate them into clear operational requirements. Experience collecting, reconciling, validating, and presenting data obtained from multiple business units or information systems. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage numerous filings, contracts, deadlines, and stakeholder requests simultaneously. Bachelor’s degree in business, energy, public administration, legal studies, finance, accounting, or a related discipline is preferred. A substantial combination of relevant education, industry experience, and demonstrated performance will be accepted in place of a four-year degree. Preferred Qualifications Experience with large-load customers, data centers, industrial energy users, power-intensive facilities, or utility economic-development programs. Familiarity with one or more organized electricity markets, including ERCOT, PJM, ISO New England, MISO, NYISO, SPP, or CAISO. Experience with multi-state electric or natural gas licensing and reporting. Knowledge of public utility commission requirements, utility tariffs, FERC requirements, ISO/RTO rules, and EIA reporting.
