The Opportunity We are looking for a Manager Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance to lead and develop engineering and maintenance activities across our factory in Smedjebacken. In this role, you will ensure that manufacturing processes, equipment, and technical capabilities meet current and future business needs. You will drive reliability, efficiency, and performance of production equipment while fostering continuous improvement and supporting operational excellence. Safety, quality, and sustainability will be key priorities across all sites and projects. How you'll make an impact Take overall accountability for manufacturing engineering and maintenance activities, including equipment reliability, technical development, and long-term capability planning. Coordinate and align engineering and maintenance practices across sites to ensure consistent standards and support business and production requirements. • Lead investment execution within engineering and maintenance, ensuring structured planning and follow-up of technical projects and equipment upgrades. Contribute to the development and implementation of manufacturing engineering strategies to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance product quality. Champion health and safety standards and ensure compliance in all maintenance and engineering activities. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within maintenance and engineering using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies. Lead digitalization and automation efforts within manufacturing engineering, including systems for maintenance planning and performance tracking. Compile and manage CAPEX related to equipment, maintenance, and engineering development, including participation in budget cycles. Establish and monitor KPIs for equipment efficiency, reliability, maintenance performance, and cost to drive improvements. Your Background Proven experience in global manufacturing operations or large-scale production management. Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams. Solid understanding of safety regulations, compliance standards, and quality management systems. Excellent strategic planning, problem-solving, and communication abilities. Experience in process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma. Ability to lead digitalization initiatives and manage information systems effectively. Financial acumen with experience in budgeting and CAPEX management.
