Market Analyst

Requirements: Education • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, industrial engineering, mathematical/statistical engineering or a related field. Experience • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in market analysis, power system optimization, portfolio management and/or risk exposure assessment within the Chilean energy sector. • Deep understanding of the Chilean electricity market, its optimization and operation rules and regulatory framework. • Knowledge of the power generation business and its operational and economic dynamics. • Experience in optimization models as SDDP, PLP, Plexos or similar. • Experience in AI adoption, digitalization improvement, data extraction, data transformation and data analysis using Python or similar tools. • Experience in elaborating presentations and reports covering information of the Chilean electricity market. • Desirable knowledge and/or experience in portfolio optimization topics. • Desirable knowledge and/or experience in regulatory topics. Technical Knowledge • Microsoft Office skills, advanced Excel knowledge. • SDDP, PLP, Plexos or similar optimization models knowledge. • Mathematical modelling and data analytics. • AI adoption and Python programming or similar language. • Advanced English proficiency.
