To our client we are now seeking a 'Master Scheduler' Role overview The Operational order management office is responsible for managing all purchase, manufacturing and distribution orders E2E, ensuring seamless execution, data accuracy, and on-time delivery across the global supply chain. The role drives process standardization, automation, and performance management, fostering cross-functional collaboration to enable efficient, transparent, and reliable order fulfillment. • Execute and monitor E2E purchase orders (PO), manufacturing orders (MO), distribution orders (DO) • Support the S&OE process incl. priority alignment with supply planning, PUs and delivery commitments. • Monitor order accuracy and compliance with global standards • Support standardize and automat order management process globally PRIMARY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: The role of the master scheduler is to execute supply plans for factories and adjust when required based on actual requirements for a set area of products, product lines, segments, or production lines. The role will balance the required and available capacity to optimize service, working capital and capacity cost within the decided pace for production. The person in this role shows growing analytical abilities and communicates clearly, with developing attention to detail. The primary role of master scheduler is to, together with supply planner, translate mix-rate into a granular-level short-term and mid-term supply plans and assure capacity availability. And to ensure right products are produced in the factories. A master scheduler must keep constant contact with supply network, i.e. supply planning, demand planning, production planning, new product development, O&I etc. to understand any potential issues that arise which may impact supply plans. He or she can quickly identify events that may cause disruptions to supply plan and adjust to improve. The master scheduler actively monitors the key metrics for area of responsibility and takes “actions on red” i.e. performs necessary root cause analysis and prioritize key actions for improvements together with stakeholders. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Analytical ability – has basic ability to work with data and is building confidence in analysing trends and understanding underlying issues Demand planning system ability – able to work confidently and effectively within demand planning modules in Advanced Planning Systems. S&OP understanding – able to understand S&OP processes and support alignment across functions. Collaboration and influence ability – able to communicate clearly, influence and challenge constructively, and work closely with Sales, Product Management, and S&OP teams. Structured and proactive working approach – able to manage details, stay organized, and perform effectively in a dynamic and changing environment. Continuous improvement ability – Demonstrates a growing curiosity and learning mindset, contributing to standardization efforts and small improvement initiatives EXPERIENCE: • Proven understanding of supply planning, inventory management, S&OP and how it affects financial targets • Two-plus years’ working experience in similar or related roles • Hands-on experience working with multiple partners to resolve exceptions and negotiate best alternatives • ERP system knowledge, APS Location requirement The position is based in Fagersta, Sweden.
