What you'll do: Take responsibility for manufacturing equipment within the Paint Shop, including paint process lines, conveyors, fixtures, automation systems, ovens, pretreatment (PT), electrocoating (EC), sealing, wax and related production equipment. Support installation, commissioning, testing and industrialization of new production equipment together with line builders and equipment suppliers. Verify equipment performance regarding cycle time, capacity, capability and reliability during commissioning, trial builds and serial production. Troubleshoot production equipment and support root cause analysis of mechanical, electrical, automation and process-related issues. Perform second-line technical support and analyze PLC-controlled equipment where required. Coordinate activities with equipment suppliers during installation, buy-off, commissioning and handover to production. Monitor equipment deliveries, installation progress and resolve technical deviations together with suppliers and cross-functional teams. Support equipment verification, acceptance testing and handover to the production organization. Participate in launch activities including installation, commissioning, VP builds and serial production ramp-up. Drive continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment to improve availability, quality, safety and productivity. Document technical issues, communicate risks transparently and ensure timely escalation and resolution. Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Automation, Quality and Technology Development teams. Contribute to technical documentation, equipment specifications, PFMEA and Lessons Learned activities. What you'll bring: 3+ years of experience working with manufacturing equipment in an automotive Paint Shop or similar automated production environment. Experience with paint line builders, equipment suppliers or industrial installation/commissioning projects. Strong understanding of automated production lines, including conveyors, robots, fixtures and production equipment. Experience with PLC-controlled equipment and ability to perform technical troubleshooting (Siemens, Rockwell or similar is an advantage). Experience with Pretreatment (PT), Electrocoating (EC), Paint Shop equipment, or other automated manufacturing processes is highly desirable. Background as a Maintenance Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Automation Engineer, PLC Engineer, Paint Equipment Engineer or Commissioning Engineer is considered an advantage. Good understanding of industrial automation, mechanical and electrical systems. Ability to read technical documentation, electrical drawings and equipment documentation. Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent. Good English communication skills, both written and spoken. Slovak is an advantage. Self-driven, structured and proactive personality with strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating in an international, cross-functional team. Analytical mindset with experience in reporting, issue tracking and continuous improvement. Ideal candidate profile We are looking for an engineer with hands-on experience supporting paint shop production equipment rather than paint chemistry or coating technology. Candidates with experience as Line Builder Engineers, PLC Engineers, Maintenance Engineers, Commissioning Engineers, PT/EC Engineers or Paint Equipment Engineers are all relevant for this position. The ideal candidate understands automated manufacturing lines, equipment installation, commissioning and production support in an automotive environment.
