Mechanical Engineer

Our client is looking for a Mechanical Engineer! Assignment Overview: You will support the Interior Group within Cab Development by leading the design and development of cab trim components and surface materials. Ensure technical specifications, cost targets, and styling requirements are met through close collaboration with multiple stakeholders. Responsibilities: Responsible for wall and ceiling panel development within the cab. Maintain and update specifications for textiles, vinyl, and leather materials. Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, Styling, and other cross-functional teams. Ensure material and component solutions meet technical, quality, styling, and cost requirements. Work closely with Styling regarding material appearance and feel while ensuring technical compliance. Monitor and control material costs for surface materials and panels. Create and modify designs in Catia V5. Education: Must Have: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Nice to Have: Specialization related to product development, design engineering, or materials engineering. Experience: Must Have: Minimum 4 years of engineering/design experience. Strong experience using Catia V5. Experience working with Styling Surfaces (A-surfaces). Nice to Have: Experience with Enovia. Previous experience within the company. Knowledge of automotive interior materials (textiles, vinyl, leather). Understanding of ergonomics and styling-related product development. Personal / Soft Skills: Diplomatic and collaborative mindset. Strong communication skills. Flexible and solution-oriented approach. Ability to work effectively across multiple cross-functional teams. Good stakeholder management skills. Other Specifications: Experience from the automotive industry is highly beneficial. Ability to balance technical, styling, production, and cost requirements.
