Mechanical Engineer

Assignment description We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer for a long-term assignment focused on chassis integration for BEV solutions within the heavy vehicle industry. The role focuses on mechanical design and integration of components and systems within the chassis. Relevant areas include sheet metal design, brackets and installation solutions, plastic components, pneumatic systems, component packaging and chassis integration. You will work with design and development in CATIA V5, component interfaces, tolerances and installation requirements, and collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams throughout the development process. The role also includes design reviews, technical investigations, validation, documentation and production support when needed. Qualifications You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field. You have at least 3 years of experience in design engineering. You have previous R&D experience from the heavy vehicle or automotive industry. You have strong experience within sheet metal, plastic and/or pneumatic design. You have experience with CATIA V5 in both 3D and 2D. You have experience with tolerance analysis. You have good understanding of component packaging, interfaces and installation. You have knowledge of manufacturability principles within relevant component areas. You communicate well in English. Meritorious You have experience within chassis design and installation for heavy-duty vehicles. You have experience across more than one of the technical areas: sheet metal, plastic and pneumatic systems. You collaborate well with suppliers and cross-functional teams and communicate clearly in technical discussions. You are proactive, self-motivated and comfortable driving design activities independently while contributing to knowledge sharing within the team.
