Network Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our local Digital team in Skövde. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving Aurobay's network infrastructure, ensuring secure, reliable, and high-performing connectivity across production and office environments. As part of a collaborative and dynamic team, you will contribute to the stability and development of both wired and wireless network solutions, supporting critical manufacturing operations and business processes. You will play a key role in network security, troubleshooting, capacity planning, and infrastructure modernization initiatives. The role requires hands-on expertise within enterprise networking and security technologies, including experience with solutions such as Cisco ISE, Cisco switching and routing, wireless infrastructure, network monitoring, and related technologies. Experience from industrial or manufacturing environments is considered a strong advantage. You will work closely with local and global Digital teams, external suppliers, and business stakeholders to ensure that network services meet operational and production requirements. This position requires an onsite presence in Skövde. The successful candidate is expected to be available locally to support operational activities, infrastructure changes, troubleshooting, and production-related network requirements when needed. Skill requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Technical Expertise: Proficiency in network protocols and technologies—especially 802.1X. Hands-on monitoring and automation experience. Solid experience managing firewalls (e.g., Fortigate, Palo Alto). In-depth knowledge of technologies like SD-WAN and MPLS. Switching in Cisco large networks Desired skills Comprehensive understanding of network security principles and best practices. Proficiency with network monitoring and management tools. Solid experience in wireless networking technologies, including: 802.11 standards WiFi security protocols (e.g., WPA2, WPA3) WiFi deployment best practices Start date: asap Duration: 1 year Workload: Hours per week: 40.
