About the job
Ready to make a positive impact? This is a role where you will be responsible for driving profitable growth and strengthening long-term partnerships with some of Alfa Laval's most important customers, as well as finding new opportunities with potential customers in the Nordics. You will act as our go-to person and key enabler within municipal wastewater, while also covering a selected portfolio of strategic industrial wastewater customers across the Nordic region.
The Nordic wastewater market requires dedicated ownership to strengthen customer intimacy, rebuild installed-base position, and drive both Capital Sales and Aftersales growth. You will own relationships with utilities, consultants, integrators, and selected industrial customers across the Nordics, coordinate testing activities, and drive market development.
Your primary focus will be:
Conduct market and customer analysis and mapping to define business potential and opportunities.
Analyze accounts and define sales strategy, including relationship management (whom to build which relationship with and why).
Develop a 2-4 year KAM plan by segmenting customers and prioritizing.
- Develop, implement, and follow up on local sales activities for/with relevant key account(s) or markets to meet growth targets and goals.
- Plan which customer contacts should be involved, how and when, in order to move sales forward efficiently.
- Plan and execute systematic follow-up on all relevant steps in the KAM sales process to ensure that we capture all possible business.
Proactively connect and coordinate internally with BUs and other sales managers to secure aligned customer and/or market strategies.
Success in this role requires excellent relationship-building skills combined with analytical and technical skills and, of course, a desire to win business!
You understand the importance of being visible and staying close to clients; business travel is a part of the role, approximately 60 days/year, in addition to customer visits close to your home location.
You will be part of a team of five and report to Søren Johansen, a trust-based and empowering leader who leads with clear expectations, open dialogue, and regular commercial sparring. We offer you a role where you will be given significant autonomy and accountability, supported by constructive feedback, development opportunities, and help navigating complex customer and organizational challenges.
Who are you
You actively engage and network with stakeholders, understand business challenges, and translate customer needs into opportunities. You are proactive, structured, and comfortable taking ownership while collaborating across functions and cultures. Most importantly, you are motivated by developing strategic partnerships and delivering sustainable business growth.
What you know
We are looking for someone with experience in a similar role, who has the ability to learn and understand technical solutions and connect them to customer value, as well as being able to work independently while collaborating effectively across functions and countries.
Requirements:
A few years of relevant experience in wastewater, technical B2B sales, key account management, or business development.
