Norwegian Copywriter / Translator

Aliant is looking for an experienced Norwegian Copywriter / Translator - fully remote assignment. This is a flexible part-time assignment for a skilled copywriter who knows how to transform English marketing content into natural, engaging Norwegian while preserving the intended message, tone and brand identity. About the assignment You will be responsible for transcreating and translating English content into Norwegian across a variety of channels and customer touchpoints. The assignment includes adapting advertising copy for platforms and channels such as Meta, YouTube, billboards, radio and other marketing formats, as well as shorter digital copy used throughout the online customer journey. This is not simply word-for-word translation. You will ensure that the Norwegian content feels natural, relevant and engaging for the local audience while remaining consistent with brand and editorial guidelines. Your responsibilities will include: Transcreating advertising copy from English into Norwegian Translating and adapting digital and marketing content Ensuring high editorial standards across all content Maintaining a consistent brand voice, style and tone Adapting messaging depending on its purpose – whether to inspire, inform, educate, motivate or sell Ensuring content is linguistically and culturally relevant for a Norwegian audience We are looking for someone who Has professional experience in copywriting, translation and/or transcreation Has excellent written Norwegian, preferably at native or native-level proficiency Has a very strong command of English Has experience adapting marketing and advertising content for different channels Understands the difference between direct translation and creative transcreation Has a strong sense of tone of voice, brand consistency and editorial quality Is comfortable working independently in a fully remote setup Experience working with international brands, advertising, digital marketing or consumer-facing communication is highly valued. Assignment details Start: ASAP Duration: 12 months Workload: Approximately 5–10 hours per month, up to a maximum of 20 hours per month Location: Fully remote – you can be based in Norway, Sweden or elsewhere Languages: Norwegian and English
