Contract Type: Fixed Term – September 2026 to June 2029 OVERVIEW / CONTEXT OF THE ROLE As the Operations Manager for Hawk-Eye Innovations in Singapore, you will be joining one of the most innovative sports technology businesses in the world and will play a vital role as we embark on an ambitious growth journey with the ultimate goal of “Pioneering & Inspiring Change in Sport”. We have been innovating since 2001, challenging conventions to deliver solutions that make sport fairer, safer, more engaging and better informed. This is a newly created role, established to lead the operational delivery of Video Assistant Referee (VAR) services in Singapore, following our new contract with the Football Association of Singapore (FAS). Reporting to Operations Manager – South APAC, your role will see you manage the operational business, collaborating with Football Management team to ensure the successful delivery of the FAS project. You will strive to ensure operational delivery is faultless, and that the team's implementation is of the highest standard for our client. The base scope of delivery is a fully managed VAR service, operated from the Replay Centre for matches played across 4 Singapore Premier League (SPL) stadiums. You will have responsibility for the operational and commercial performance of the FAS contract, building and nurturing the relationship with FAS, delivering the Hawk-Eye Guarantee, and supporting other regional and global projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Operations - Lead the operational delivery of VAR services across FAS-contracted competitions, championing the Hawk-Eye Guarantee - Work with FAS and internal Football Management to identify and implement the strategic direction of managed services in Singapore - In consultation with Football Management and Senior HRBP, continually review the operational model, striking the right balance between efficiency, client satisfaction, operational excellence and profitability - Fully understand the contractual agreement and SLAs with FAS, and ensure they are delivered in full - Work with Football Projects and PMO to implement and roll out VAR technology, ensuring new and improved technologies are delivered successfully - Ensure resource levels (crew, hardware and training) are appropriate for the FAS match calendar and future growth, utilising current resource strategically - Responsible for the planning, organisation and coordination of resources to ensure smooth, successful delivery of services on match day - Find new ways of working that provide operational efficiencies, including the use of technology - Work collaboratively with the wider APAC football and events business (e.g. AFC, FIFA) to support their deliveries with personnel and hardware where appropriate - Manage any issues arising from operations and proactively minimise their effect on FAS and the team, briefing senior management where appropriate - Maintain a solid understanding of the VAR technology stack to ensure it is delivered most effectively across the region - Drive technologies, processes and procedures forward by working with the relevant support teams Business Planning - Take accountability for delivering the FAS contract in line with the annual budget, and where possible, drive to exceed it - Accountable for the profitability of the FAS contract, including revenue, GP and OP - Analyse the operational model, commercials and profitability of the FAS contract and any new opportunities in the region - Work with Football Management and the commercial team on the development of business opportunities in Singapore and the surrounding region - Understand FAS's strategic needs and develop solutions to meet them - Find new applications for existing Hawk-Eye technologies within the Singapore market Client Relationships - Manage the day-to-day relationship with FAS - Enhance the reputation of Hawk-Eye in Singapore - Work with the commercial function to bring contracts and renewals to point of closure - Support the brand to be the number one provider of technology in sport in Singapore and the surrounding region Leadership - Build successful and productive relationships with your team, those in other football projects, and central support functions - Build an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture - Where suitable, delegate responsibilities and support the work of the team, providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance - Empower team members with the skills to advance their careers, supporting professional and personal development - Conduct regular performance reviews to support staff development - Work with HRBP to build and implement a people strategy fit for the future of the business - Work with HRBP to ensure talent management and talent development programmes are in place - Manage and oversee both freelance/casual and full-time staff - Care for the health, safety and welfare of your people, including completion of mandatory training modules SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERTISE - Enterprising, with excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills - Proactive, responsible attitude and ability to work on your own initiative without supervision - Time management skills and ability to work in a high-pressure, procedural, live broadcast environment - Demonstrable experience in a project and/or people leadership role - Outstanding communication and people skills, embracing our values and culture - A strong technical grounding, ideally educated to degree level in a relevant subject, or work experience to a similar level - Ability to streamline and implement new structures that create speed, efficiency and support rapidly shifting business demands - Understanding of, or willingness to quickly learn, VAR and related match-officiating technologies - Flexibility to
