Overhead Crane Technician / Industrial Electrician

Qualifications: EDUCATION: A recognized trade qualification as a Journeyman Electrician, Journeyman Millwright or equivalent qualification/experience in terms of skills and knowledge or an Associate’s degree in Industrial Electrical/Mechanical Technology with related field or equivalent experience. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of  5 years of industrial maintenance or service experience , preferably involving overhead cranes, hoists, material handling equipment, or similar industrial systems. Knowledge of applicable provincial regulations and CSA standards related to overhead lifting equipment is considered an asset. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must have and maintain a good driving record, including a valid driver’s license. Must be willing, fit and able to work at heights/climb ladders/walkways. Must possess good computer, written and verbal communication skills. Must possess excellent customer interaction skills. Must be able to work overtime or as required by customer operations. Must be able to travel and work out of town as required. Physical requirements Must be willing and physically able to complete all required tasks , fit, and able to work at heights/climb ladders/walkways. Must be able to frequently lift up to 25 lbs. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. less frequently on a daily basis. Must be able to lift to 75 lbs. and up to 100lbs on a rare basis with an assisted devices. Must be able to lift 100 lbs. on a rare basis. Frequent working at heights Climbing large numbers of stairs and ladders to reach work location. Need for good balance, ability to stoop/crouch, and work overhead. Pushing, pulling, kneeling, and crawling as required. Frequently exposed to heat, cold, noise and heights as work takes place outdoors as well as indoors at industrial customer sites. Konecranes moves what matters .
