Platform Engineer
Your responsibilities include: Contribute to the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure for our large-scale data services and distributed systems, focusing on scalability, performance, and resilience Provision and manage core cloud infrastructure on AWS (including compute, storage, networking, and IAM) utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools, primarily Terraform Support the evolution of our container orchestration platform by deploying and maintaining containerized applications on Kubernetes Assist in monitoring and optimizing cloud resource utilization, identifying opportunities to improve the cost-efficiency and right-sizing of our AWS and Kubernetes environments Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation, integrating automated security checks and guardrails to support the continuous and secure delivery of software Apply and refine SRE and observability best practices to enhance the stability, reliability, and transparency of the data platform Collaborate with engineering teams to improve the developer experience by contributing to the development of robust tools, secure configurations, and streamlined operational workflows WHAT'S REQUIRED 3 to 5 years of professional experience in platform engineering, DevOps, site reliability engineering, or infrastructure engineering supporting production systems Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience 3+ years experience designing and operating cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), including compute, networking, storage, and identity services Proficiency with containerization and orchestration technologies, specifically Docker and Kubernetes Experience provisioning environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, with a strong emphasis on Terraform Strong scripting and programming skills in Python, Bash, or comparable languages, alongside demonstrable experience with Git-based source control workflows Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar platforms) Experience implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using modern observability tools to ensure system health Strong troubleshooting and incident response skills within Linux environments, with a track record of diagnosing complex production issues Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders Commitment to the highest ethical standards WE TAKE CARE OF OUR PEOPLE We invest in our people, their careers, their health, and their well-being.
