Platform Manager | Range Operations
we are looking for will be working with the platform that handles integrations and distribution of data.   Our team is based in Malmö. We believe that your presence with the team and working the majority of the time in the workplace is important.  As a Platform Manager, you’ll play an important part in the team and bring valuable IKEA knowledge into a new setting. In the coming years, we will continue to develop shared technology platforms and services that enable scalability, resilience, security and cost‑efficient operations across IKEA. Your primary focus will be to own and manage outcomes within a defined platform area, including strategy, roadmap, lifecycle, and performance of platforms and services. The impact of our work continues to resonate in homes and hearts across the world.   On a typical working day, you will:   Own and manage the assigned platform, ensuring performance, availability, security, compliance, and cost efficiency  Lead and develop cross-functional technical teams through coaching, goal setting, and competence development  Develop, define and maintain platform vision, strategy and roadmap aligned with enterprise and business strategies   Manage platform budgets, costs, forecasts, and optimization initiatives  Oversee supplier relationships, contracts, service reviews, and governance activities  Ensure lifecycle management of platforms, including technology decisions, financial governance and continuous improvement   Lead modernization initiatives, such as migration to cloud‑native and integrated platform solutions   Collaborate with stakeholders across technology and platform networks to align capabilities with business needs.  Communicate platform roadmap progress, priorities, and business value to stakeholders and leadership   
  What we’d like you to bring to the table  The role as a Platform Manager requires you to:   Have strong understanding of platforms, architecture and service management   Have experience working with cloud platforms, automation, DevOps and modern engineering principles   Have a solid understanding of end-to-end digital product development and operations  Have proven experience leading and developing high-performing technical teams  Be able knowledgeable in platform lifecycle management, including performance, security and cost considerations   Have strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence across functions  Be comfortable working and leading in complex environments with multiple stakeholders and dependencies   It’s a plus if you also:   Have experience with budget ownership or cost optimisation within a platform or technology area   Have experience working with suppliers, contracts and external partners   Have experience leading change or transformation initiatives in technology environments   Have worked as an engineer in a product or platform team   Are highly interested and aware of technology trends and emerging solutions   Have worked with integration technologies e.g. APIs and Events  Have knowledge of regulatory developments and compliance requirements
