Postdoctoral researcher in Biostatistics/Epidemiology
We are looking for a candidate with a doctoral degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, medical statistics, public health science, or another closely related field. You have documented experience of statistical analysis of observational studies and/or randomized clinical trials, as well as excellent skills in statistical programming, for example in R or Stata. You communicate very well in spoken and written English. We also believe that you have experience of analyzing longitudinal data, registry data, or cluster-randomized studies. Experience of causal inference, survival analysis, mixed models, generalized regression models, multiple imputation, or other advanced statistical methodology is considered a merit. Experience of work in diabetes, cardiovascular research, primary care, or implementation research, as well as scientific publication in international journals, is also considered a merit.
You are analytical, structured, and independent, with a strong ability to plan and drive your work forward. You have a genuine interest in method development and statistical questions, as well as good collaboration skills in interdisciplinary research environments. You communicate well with researchers from different disciplines and have the ability to translate complex analyses into clear scientific results.
## The workplace
You will work at the Division of [Clinical Medicine, Department of Health](https://liu.se/organisation/liu/hmv/prnv), Medicine and Caring Sciences, Linköping University. The research group conducts internationally competitive research in diabetes, cardiometabolic prevention, person-centred care, clinical trials, registry research, and implementation science, in close collaboration with primary care, municipal health and social care, and international research partners. The group offers a stimulating research environment with good opportunities for method development, international collaboration, and academic qualification.
## The employment
The employment is a fixed-term position for three years. The postdoctoral position is full-time and the position is fully funded.
