Procurement Specialist- Direct Materials and Indirect Goods & Services
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Procurement Specialist plays a critical role in managing tactical sourcing and procurement activities for the Malmö site. The role spans both Direct Materials, supporting peptide API production, and selected Indirect Goods & Services that support site operations.
Working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers, you will act as a link between strategic planning and operational execution. You will support mid-term sourcing plans, drive procurement initiatives, contribute to supplier development, and ensure continuity of supply through proactive supplier collaboration and risk management.
This position reports to the Senior Global Procurement Manager; Network Lead Direct.
Key Responsibilities:
· Execute sourcing and procurement activities for Direct Materials and selected Indirect Goods & Services categories
· Manage supplier relationships with national and international vendors, including supplier selection, qualification, negotiation, contracting, and performance management
· Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and fulfill short- to mid-term business needs
· Conduct market and industry analysis to support sourcing decisions and maintain market intelligence and pricing trend information
· Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives, supplier consolidation opportunities, and process improvements
· Monitor supplier performance and lead corrective actions when necessary
· Support risk management initiatives related to supplier disruptions, market changes, and other external influences
· Support supplier qualification activities in collaboration with Quality Assurance and other cross-functional stakeholders
· Participate in supplier assessments, audits, and qualification projects when applicable
· Support responsible sourcing practices and contribute to ESG and sustainability goals by engaging suppliers on compliance, transparency, and environmental standards
· Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies and procedures
· Work closely with Global and Local Procurement teams to ensure alignment, transparency, and efficiency
YOUR PROFILE
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- At least 3 years of experience within procurement, sourcing, or supply chain operations
- Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., AX / Dynamics, SAP)
- Solid understanding of pharmaceutical GMP requirements related to the sourcing of raw materials and supplier management is preferred
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Experience managing Direct Materials (peptide synthesis raw materials, reagents, solvents) and/or Indirect Goods & Services categories is considered an advantage
- Experience in regional / international sourcing or category management is preferred
