Product Design Intern

What you'll do: Own a product design project end-to-end, translating a product concept into a polished user experience across mobile and/or web platforms with coaching from an intern manager Partner with your product team and cross-functional stakeholders to define user needs, explore solutions, and validate design directions Lead presentations of your work in group design critiques, incorporating feedback to strengthen your solutions Build high-fidelity prototypes in Figma to socialize design concepts and collaborate closely with engineering on implementation Collaborate with engineers to build and ship PRs using AI-assisted coding tools, translating your designs into production-ready front-end changes Apply human-centered design methods and structured problem-solving frameworks to navigate complex, ambiguous product challenges Required Skills and Experience: Demonstrated ability to use design tools (Figma, Cursor, etc.) to create user flows, wireframes, or visual designs, evidenced by a portfolio or project samples Completed at least one design project (academic, personal, or professional) that shows end-to-end thinking from problem definition through visual execution Basic familiarity with cryptocurrency concepts and Coinbase's role in the ecosystem, with demonstrated curiosity to learn more Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality Req ID: P78017 #LI-Hybrid Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location, the target hourly rate for this position can range as detailed below.
