Product Design Manager to Global Women’s Health Brand

We are looking for a Product Design Manager for our client, an international women’s health brand on a mission to pioneer women’s health through research and passion. Their products give women the knowledge they need to better understand and take charge of their health. Now, they are looking for an experienced design leader to lead the design of their mobile products and help shape what comes next. In this role, you will lead a growing Product Design team while staying close to the work. You know how to connect great design with product and business goals, and you enjoy developing people while being equally comfortable getting close to the product and challenging the work. You will help set the direction for the product experience, develop designers and managers, and make sure users remain at the heart of product decisions. Working closely with Product, Engineering, User Research and department leadership, you will combine people leadership with strategic product thinking and hands-on design when needed. Please note that this is a permanent, full time position based in Stockholm, Sweden. What you’ll do Lead, manage and grow a team of Product Designers, including Junior Managers Support your team’s development and create an environment where people can do their best work Guide the design process and review work to maintain a strong and consistent user experience Work with department leadership to help define product strategy and the future direction of their products Develop conceptual designs that turn product strategy into experiences users can understand and enjoy Champion the user throughout the product development process Work closely with Product, Engineering and User Research to turn ideas into successful product experiences Stay hands-on when the team or product needs your design expertise What you bring At least 8 years of experience within product design, including 4 or more years in management roles Experience leading individual contributors as well as junior managers A portfolio showing successful digital products and features that have reached users Experience working in teams with a fast product development pace The ability to use design strategically when shaping products and solving business challenges A strong track record of helping designers develop in their careers The ability to communicate design decisions and product direction to both designers and colleagues from other disciplines Experience working in start-up environments where priorities can move quickly If you want to combine design leadership, product strategy, and hands on craft while working on products that play a meaningful role in women’s health, we would love to hear from you.
