Role : Product Marketing Assistant Location : Remote (UK Only) Salary : £26,500 to £28,500 Deadline for Applications : September 27th 2026 About Slug Disco: Slug Disco is a UK-based indie game developer and publisher with a focus on niche games, usually with a science or nature theme. We work primarily with small teams, particularly solo developers, to help them bring their games to life. Despite being fully remote, we try to foster a very collaborative work environment where everyone can work to their strengths, ask for help, and team up on difficult jobs. As well as bringing new skills into the team, the ideal candidate should also be interested in the sort of games we are working on, ideally both from a development perspective and as a player. We feel that this is really important for you to be able to enjoy your work, so if you’ve ever wanted to command your own ant colony, design your own creatures, or keep pet beetles, then we’re sure you’ll absolutely love working in our team! The Role : 2026 has been a busy year for us, with us working towards 6 product launches across PC and Console. 2027 is currently shaping up to be another exciting year for us and we are now looking for a Product Marketing Assistant to join our publishing team. Responsibilities Include : Plan, create and post social media content across a range of platforms including X, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and Reddit for back catalogue titles. Blog posts on the Slug Disco website Take on the role of community manager for a selection of games, for example regularly checking Steam community forums, reviews and Discord, interacting with players and collecting feedback to then pass back to the developer. Create and present monthly marketing reports of titles to be shared with the developers and the marketing team. Submitting applications to various digital and virtual game events. General gameplay footage capture to support Product Marketing Executives. Experience Needed : This is an entry level role so no previous work experience is needed, however we are looking for someone with a demonstrable passion for indie games. Some examples of how this could be demonstrated: You run a social media account promoting indie games or uploading gameplay videos. You run a blog with reviews of your favourite games. You’re a hobbyist game dev who likes to take part in game jams or upload devlogs to YouTube. You’re a long standing moderator on a Discord for your favourite indie game. Essential Skills : Basic video editing & image editing skills. Good time management and organisational skills. The ability to write copy in a variety of tones and styles. Experience of interacting with online video game communities (either as a player or in a position of authority). Experience using social media platforms especially creating short form content for TikTok and Instagram Reels. Benefits : Plenty of opportunities to learn and develop your skills.
