Project Leader – Industrial Production & Factory Transformation About the Assignment We are looking for an experienced Project Leader for a long-term consulting assignment within a global industrial and technology organization in Västerås. You will play a key role in major factory transformation initiatives, leading strategic projects related to production development, assembly, automation and the establishment of new production environments. The role involves managing multiple projects in parallel and coordinating multidisciplinary teams consisting of specialists from production, engineering, quality, maintenance, logistics, IT and automation. This is a hands-on project leadership role where you will be responsible for driving projects from planning through implementation, ensuring delivery according to scope, budget, schedule, quality and safety requirements. Your Responsibilities As Project Leader, you will be responsible for projects involving the relocation, establishment and optimization of production and support areas. Your responsibilities will include : Lead complex industrial projects from planning through implementation and handover. Coordinate relocation and integration of existing assembly and production lines into new manufacturing environments. Drive optimization of production flows, layouts and manufacturing processes. Coordinate automation initiatives and implementation of new production technology. Manage project scope, budget, resources, risks, schedules and milestones. Lead cross-functional project teams consisting of approximately 4–10 team members. Coordinate activities across production, engineering, quality, maintenance, logistics, IT and testing. Manage suppliers, consultants and other internal and external stakeholders. Coordinate layout design, tooling, equipment planning and relocation of personnel and materials. Prepare and present project status to steering committees and senior stakeholders. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, ergonomic and quality requirements. Identify risks, dependencies and resource constraints and take appropriate corrective actions. Support organizational and operational change throughout the implementation process. Your Background We are looking for a senior project leader with solid experience from industrial production and manufacturing environments. You should have experience in several of the following areas: Factory setup and/or factory transformation Assembly line implementation or relocation Production and process development Industrial automation Production flow optimization Capacity and resource planning Lean manufacturing Logistics and material flows Quality assurance and production testing Budget and cost management Risk management Milestone and gate-based project models Experience working with technologies or environments involving industrial robotics, autonomous material handling, MES or production automation is highly valuable. Who You Are You are a structured and confident project leader who is comfortable taking ownership of technically complex projects with many stakeholders and dependencies. You have the ability to combine a strategic perspective with hands-on execution and are comfortable moving between steering committee discussions, technical teams, suppliers and production operations. Strong communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills are essential for succeeding in the role. Fluency in Swedish is required, and you should be comfortable working in an international environment where English is also used.
