Project Leader - IS Project Management (Robotics)

About the Role Our client is executing one of its most ambitious factory transformation programs: consolidating robotics production into a brand-new Campus in Västerås. We are seeking a versatile Project Leader to bridge the physical establishment of new production lines with the digital transformation required on the shop floor. In this dual-focus role, you will support cross-functional project teams responsible for both the physical relocation/optimization of assembly lines (including Cross-Production Areas) and the end-to-end implementation of our new Manufacturing Execution System (MES), serving as the core link between SAP ECC and shop-floor automation. Key Responsibilities Physical & Line Optimization: Direct the relocation and setup of assembly lines (e.g., GOFA robot automation) and establish flexible Cross-Production Areas (XPAs) spanning quality, maintenance, prototyping, and repair centers. Project & Governance Management: Drive project planning, budget oversight (SEK 20–30M scope), resource allocation, risk mitigation, and milestone tracking using gate-based project frameworks (G1–G6). Cross-Functional Leadership: Direct matrixed teams of 10–15 internal specialists and external consultants across engineering, IT/IS, logistics, quality, and shop-floor operations. Change Management & Safety: Facilitate operational readiness, user training, and change adoption while maintaining strict compliance with safety, ergonomic, and environmental standards. Your Profile Experience: Proven track record leading complex, multidisciplinary industrial transformation projects combining industrial IT/system implementations (MES, SAP) and physical factory setup/assembly operations. Technical Breadth : Strong background in industrial automation, lean manufacturing, shop-floor integration, and production logistics. Methodology: Skilled in gate-driven project management (GAP model), budget control, and risk management in high-tempo manufacturing environments. Communication : Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills; fluent in both Swedish and English.
