Project Manager – Atlassian Migration Program

For our client we are looking for a Project Manager – Atlassian Migration Program (On-Premise to SaaS) Assignment Overview We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a strategic enterprise-wide migration of the Atlassian platform from an on-premise environment to Atlassian Cloud (SaaS). The role will be responsible for driving the program from planning through execution, ensuring a secure, compliant, and business-focused transition while minimizing operational disruption. This is a high-visibility initiative involving multiple stakeholders across Technology, Information Security, Risk & Compliance, Architecture, Operations, and Business functions. Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end migration program from Atlassian Data Center/Server to Atlassian Cloud. Define and manage project scope, timeline, budget, risks, and dependencies. Coordinate cross-functional teams, including infrastructure, platform, security, compliance, and business stakeholders. Establish governance structures and provide regular status reporting to senior management. Manage stakeholder engagement, communication plans, and organizational change activities. Drive vendor and partner coordination where applicable. Ensure migration activities adhere to enterprise architecture, security, risk, and regulatory requirements. Identify and proactively mitigate project risks and issues. Oversee testing, cutover planning, adoption, and transition to operational support. Required Qualifications & Experience Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale enterprise transformation or migration projects. Minimum 7-10 years of project/program management experience in complex organizations. Experience managing SaaS transformation initiatives, cloud migrations, or enterprise platform modernizations. Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid delivery models). Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholder groups and executive-level communications. Experience managing projects with significant regulatory, risk, and security considerations. Strong leadership, facilitation, negotiation, and decision-making skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Atlassian products such as Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, and Atlassian Cloud migration programs. Previous experience within the banking, financial services, or highly regulated industry sectors. Familiarity with data residency, data governance, privacy, and compliance requirements relevant to cloud adoption. Experience working in large international enterprise environments with distributed teams. Project Management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe, or equivalent Key Success Factors The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to: Drive complex enterprise programs with confidence and structure.
