Project Manager / Assignment Leader – Product Localization About the Assignment: We are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager / Assignment Leader for an exciting consultancy assignment with a global company in the automotive industry. In this role, you will lead localization initiatives for production, ensuring that components are successfully introduced according to agreed timelines, quality standards, and cost targets. You will work in a highly collaborative environment alongside experienced project leaders and interact with stakeholders across engineering, production, logistics, and purchasing. This assignment is ideal for someone who thrives in a cross-functional environment and enjoys driving complex projects from planning through implementation. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate localization activities within your assigned technical area. Ensure components are introduced into production according to agreed schedules and cost objectives. Drive cross-functional collaboration throughout the localization process. Coordinate stakeholders across Engineering, Production, Logistics, Purchasing, and other business functions. Monitor project progress, risks, dependencies, and delivery milestones. Identify and drive improvements to support efficient project execution and reduced lead times. Provide regular status updates and ensure alignment between all involved stakeholders. Required Qualifications BSc or MSc in Engineering or a related technical discipline. Several years of experience in product development within the automotive industry. Solid understanding of product development processes. Strong technical product knowledge. Proven experience as a Project Manager, Assignment Leader, or similar leadership role. Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Meritorious Experience Experience from one or more of the following areas: Product Design Purchasing Production Logistics Testing & Validation Experience working with structured product introduction or localization processes. Personal Qualities To succeed in this role, you are proactive, structured, and comfortable taking ownership of complex initiatives. You have excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills and can successfully lead cross-functional teams toward common objectives. You are a strong communicator who combines a results-oriented mindset with attention to quality, timelines, and risk management.
