Senior Software Developer – Industrial Automation About the Assignment We are currently looking for an experienced and driven Senior Software Developer with proven technical leadership experience for an exciting consulting assignment with an international company operating within industrial technology and automation in Västerås, Sweden. In this role, you will become an important part of an innovative R&D team, contributing to the entire product development lifecycle – from initial concept to final delivery. Your main focus will be designing and implementing advanced software solutions for industrial automation and control systems, while also taking an active leadership role in coordinating and driving software development activities. Key Responsibilities Design, develop and implement advanced software solutions for industrial automation. Take a technical leadership role in driving software development activities from concept through implementation, testing and delivery. Lead, plan, coordinate and organize daily activities within the development team. Provide technical guidance and support to other developers, ensuring high-quality software delivery. Collaborate closely with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure aligned and effective solutions. Participate in requirements analysis, software design, coding, testing and continuous improvement. Contribute to high-quality, reliable and sustainable software solutions. Support a collaborative team environment with a strong focus on safety, quality and innovation. Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience. Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience. Proven leadership experience within software development, such as Technical Lead, Team Lead or a similar role. Demonstrated ability to lead, coordinate and guide software development teams and technical activities. Strong hands-on software development experience combined with the ability to take technical ownership and drive projects forward. Experience working across the full software development lifecycle. Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English. Strong technical skills in: Java C# C++ Linux Azure DevOps Containers / Containerization Angular React Meriting Qualifications Experience in crane automation or similar industrial automation environments. Experience working within R&D or complex industrial product development. Experience mentoring developers and driving technical improvements within development teams.
