Regional SW Lead
For our client we are looking for a Regional SW Lead . Description of the assignmen t Own and coordinate European software and functional deliveries, ensuring alignment between the client, RPL, China teams, and project stakeholders. Key Responsibilities • Represent the client's GRI Software Chief Engineers, GRI Technology Centers, and the EE Department towards the RPL. • Act as the EU software point of contact towards China teams. • Drive the software deliverables and provide relevant area information to the RPL. • Report on software progress and delivery status to the RPL and Overseas PM meeting. • Ensure European software components and features are delivered on time and integrated into the overall software architecture. • Coordinate with System and Software Architects on implementation, update, security, and rollback strategies. • Ensure technical feasibility, software quality, testing, and alignment with milestones, SOP, and release plans. • Consolidate software status from integration, function, and component teams. • Track software maturity, integration progress, release readiness, and OTA readiness. • Identify, manage, and escalate risks, issues, dependencies, resource gaps, and delivery blockers. • Own European software and functional implementation planning after the PS milestone. • Drive Software and Function Implementation Plans, including cross-functional issue resolution and dependency management. • Ensure correct implementation, integration, maturity, release readiness, and acceptance of European content. • Coordinate activities across development, integration, validation, and project teams. • Support CRB preparation, management reporting, and CRB meetings in China. • Align software priorities, function scope, milestones, and release plans with China teams. • Coordinate new feature requests and requirement changes through the agreed handshake process. • Follow up on actions and commitments from China teams and internal stakeholders. • Support validation by reviewing test cases and results against functional requirements. • Provide guidance on defect resolution related to European functionality. • Compile and follow up the FIP and report function implementation progress to project management. • Represent software delivery status in project reviews, release boards, and management forums. Qualifications and skills required for the role • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, or related field • Have at least 10 years of experience in the automotive business and gained proficiency when working in or close to product development projects • Leadership and team coordination skills. • Strong ability to manage complex dependencies across multiple teams and regions. • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to synthesize complex topics and influence senior stakeholders across regions Personal attributes • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Analytical mindset for risk assessment and mitigation. • Organizational skills for planning and coordination. • Native mandarin is an advantage
