R&D Software Developer – C/C++ | Robotics & Embedded Systems | Västerås About the Assignment We are currently looking for a skilled and motivated R&D Software Developer for an exciting consulting assignment with an international technology company in Västerås, Sweden. In this role, you will join an innovative R&D team working on the development of advanced software solutions, core systems and interfaces within robotics and industrial automation. You will contribute to the development of next-generation technology, focusing on connectivity, system functionality and software performance. Key Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain software solutions using C and C++. Contribute to the development of core systems, interfaces and connectivity solutions. Work with software development for advanced robotics and automation systems. Collaborate closely with R&D engineers and cross-functional development teams. Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design and implementation to testing and delivery. Identify, troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges to ensure high-quality software solutions. Work according to Lean-Agile principles in an international development environment. Your Background & Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: Solid experience in software development, with strong programming skills in C and C++. A relevant technical background in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Experience working in agile software development environments. Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. A proactive mindset, attention to detail and a genuine interest in technology and innovation. Meritorious Qualifications Experience with Linux and/or ROS (Robot Operating System). Knowledge of embedded systems and embedded software development. Previous experience in robotics, industrial automation or similar technical environments. Experience developing connectivity solutions or system-level software.
