Security Architect – Trellix We are looking for an experienced Security Architect with deep expertise in Trellix security technologies. The consultant will take architectural ownership of the Trellix platform and contribute to the strategic development of related cybersecurity services in a complex enterprise environment. About the assignment You will be responsible for the design, governance and strategic development of the organization’s Trellix security platform. The role ensures that security solutions are secure, scalable and aligned with business requirements, security policies, regulatory obligations and established industry frameworks. You will act as a trusted technical advisor to stakeholders and provide architectural guidance to security engineers, operational teams and other technical specialists. Responsibilities - Define and maintain the security architecture for Trellix solutions. - Provide architectural expertise within Trellix Endpoint Security, EDR/XDR, ePolicy Orchestrator, Threat Intelligence and Data Protection. - Lead security design reviews and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and security standards. - Provide technical leadership for security projects, migrations, integrations and platform lifecycle management. - Develop security roadmaps, architectural principles, standards and technical documentation. - Guide strategies for incident response, threat hunting and vulnerability remediation. - Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, network, workplace and SOC teams. - Assess emerging threats, technologies and security capabilities. - Recommend improvements that strengthen the organization’s overall security posture. - Mentor security engineers and act as the senior technical escalation point for Trellix-related matters. Required experience and skills - Deep and documented experience with Trellix or McAfee enterprise security technologies. - Experience designing and governing security solutions in large or complex organizations. - Strong knowledge of endpoint security, EDR/XDR, SIEM, IAM, Zero Trust and network security. - Experience with Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator or comparable centralized security management platforms. - Experience leading security design reviews, technical assessments and architectural decision-making. - Experience with Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Linux and hybrid infrastructure environments. - Good understanding of incident response, threat hunting and vulnerability management. - Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls and MITRE ATT&CK. - Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. - Ability to produce clear security architecture, roadmaps, standards and technical documentation. - Professional proficiency in English. Meriting experience - Trellix or McAfee certifications. - Experience with large-scale Trellix migrations or platform transformations. - Experience integrating Trellix solutions with SIEM, SOC and threat intelligence services. - Experience acting as a senior technical escalation point. - Professional proficiency in Swedish. - Experience from regulated or security-sensitive environments. Personal qualities You are analytical, structured and comfortable taking architectural ownership of complex security environments. You can move between strategic planning and detailed technical discussions and communicate effectively with engineers, operational teams, architects, management and external suppliers. This is an architecture and technical leadership role. It is not primarily an operational administration or first-line security support position.
