Do you enjoy creating environments and want to take ownership of how a game world looks, feels, and works? As an Environment Artist at Snowprint, you’ll take ownership of the environment art for one of our new projects. You’ll have a broad role where both your artistic skills and technical understanding both matter. You’ll be the person driving the environment art forward, with room to make decisions, experiment, and see your work directly in the hands of players. At Snowprint, you’ll work as part of a small, collaborative team where you’ll have room to shape the visual direction of the project and make decisions about how the environments are created. Our portfolio includes Legends of Solgard, Rivengard, and Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus, all built with the player experience at the center. At Snowprint, we believe that kindness, curiosity, collaboration, and taking ownership are key to making great games. What you’ll be doing You’ll create stylized environments, props, and items, and assemble them in Unity to procedurally set-dress, light and build clear, immersive worlds that support the gameplay. From larger structures to smaller environmental details, your work will be key to making our worlds feel alive and immersive, always with the player experience in mind. You’ll work closely with the Art Director, Designers, Tech Artists, and Concept Artists to ensure that environments are visually coherent, performant, and aligned with gameplay needs. This includes hands-on work in Unity with set-dressing, lighting, scene setup, and performance considerations. Throughout the process, you’ll have the freedom to make decisions, experiment with different approaches, and continuously improve the quality of the environment art. Is this you? - You’re an experienced Environment Artist with proven track record of shipped games (preferably handheld/mobile) - Proficient in modular workflows, set dressing, lighting, and scene optimization. Artistically skilled in performant stylized 3D assets. - You’re fluent in Unity and 3D modelling tools. Experience with Substance Designer and Substance Painter is a plus. - You’re self-driven, take ownership and communicate clearly across multidisciplinary teams. - You are player-focused and are passionate about making great games. - You speak English at a professional level and are currently located in Stockholm, Sweden (no relocation offered). What we’ll be looking for in your portfolio Nicely set dressed, lit and composed stylized environments with props made by yourself. If there’s been a collaboration with other peers it’s recommended to have a detailed description of what you have contributed with. Where you’ll work Our Stockholm studio is in Södermalm, with a hybrid working model. We work from the office Tuesdays and Fridays, to allow for closer collaboration and socializing. Other days it's up to everyone where they feel most comfortable to work. We support hybrid work by supplying you with the right setup and tools.
