Job description: We are looking for a Senior Accountant for India & Singapore who is responsible for securing the integrity of financial reporting and local statutory compliance across both entities, with a global remit covering intercompany accounting and support to the group’s transfer pricing and tax assessment work. Objective of the role: Accounting, close and reporting Day-to-day accounting, general ledger management and balance sheet reconciliations for both entities. This is a hands-on role: journals, accruals, fixed asset and payroll entries, invoice processing and reconciliations are posted directly in the ERP. Month-end, quarter-end and year-end close for India and Singapore, and submission of reporting packages to Group Finance in accordance with IFRS and internal guidelines. Global intercompany accounting and transfer pricing Own the global intercompany cycle: monthly intercompany working files and internal billing file with intercompany sales and purchase invoices, and reconciling and settling balances with the entity owners. Monthly currency revaluation across all group entities. Support the group’s transfer pricing cycle – collating data for the group transfer pricing report, master file and local files, coordinating with external advisors on India-specific requirements, and making sure the agreed intercompany pricing is applied. Payroll, payments, cash and banking Together with the local People & Culture representative, act as the coordination point for outsourced payroll, authorising the payroll bank file and posting the payroll journals. Act as the escalation point when vendor output needs correction or follow-up. Weekly and monthly cash-flow forecasting and liquidity management, local banking relationships, and early flagging of funding requirements. Tax, audit and corporate governance Compliance with local tax laws and statutory filings: India (GST, corporate income tax, TDS and withholding tax on cross-border payments including Section 195, Forms 15CA/15CB and DTAA relief, tax audit and Form 3CEB) and Singapore (GST Form 5, corporate tax and IRAS/ACRA filings). Internal coordination point for income tax and transfer pricing assessments across the group’s entities – currently India, Singapore, Sweden and Hong Kong. Lead the local annual audits and act as key contact for auditors – the India statutory audit and tax audit, and the Singapore statutory audit and XBRL filing. Primary corporate governance contact for both locations: ROC/MCA and ACRA filings, board and director documentation, corporate secretarial matters, and FEMA/RBI and export-related compliance for the Indian entity. Outsourced partners and ways of working Manage, monitor and review the deliverables of third-party accounting and payroll firms, and act as the escalation point when their output needs correction or follow-up. Support transitions between service providers and the rollout of global finance systems, such as the global payroll platform implementation for India and Singapore. About the team: Global Finance team of 13, spread across North America, Europe, and APAC. What you will do: The role combines hands-on financial management with oversight of outsourced accounting, tax and payroll partners, working closely with the global Finance team – in particular colleagues in India, Hong Kong, Sweden and Canada. Around 5-7 years of experience in tax and accounting, the majority of it gained in an audit, tax or accounting firm handling global clients – a Big 4 or other large accounting firm is preferred. Direct exposure to Indian direct tax, transfer pricing and statutory compliance, gained on cross-border or multinational clients. Experience supporting income tax and transfer pricing assessments in India – collating information, preparing data and reconciliations for submissions, and working alongside external advisors – including matters involving transfer pricing and non-resident / international tax. Familiarity with transfer pricing documentation in practice (local file, master file, Form 3CEB, benchmarking studies) and withholding tax on cross-border payments (Section 195, DTAA relief, Forms 15CA/15CB). Good working knowledge of Indian accounting, tax and statutory reporting requirements, and either exposure to Singapore requirements (GST, CPF, IRAS/ACRA filings) or a demonstrated ability to pick up a second jurisdiction quickly. Experience in a global, multi-entity organisation, with strong intercompany accounting and reconciliation experience and comfort coordinating across time zones and cultures. Quick to pick up new technology, and has actively tried AI tools in day-to-day work – we are interested in what you have used them for and what you learned. A real interest in improving how work gets done: spotting the manual and repetitive steps in a process and rethinking them. Comfortable with hands-on transactional work alongside compliance and reporting responsibilities, and self-starting without close daily supervision. Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills. Academic degree in Business Administration, Finance, or equivalent. Experience with an international ERP; Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a distinct advantage. Involvement in finance automation or process improvement work – reporting automation, workflow tools, ERP process changes, or similar.
