Senior AI Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE Join an engineering team building AI-powered productivity software. You will focus on two core challenges: scaling backend systems and improving the reliability and efficiency of LLM and AI agent workflows that support the product. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Design, build, and maintain backend services that can scale as product usage grows. - Optimize LLM integrations and AI agent orchestration for reliability and efficiency in production. - Take ownership of technical challenges and ship improvements that positively affect platform performance and user experience. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - Typically 8 to 10 or more years of relevant engineering experience, with a substantial hands-on coding and software delivery track record. - Strong backend engineering experience building scalable systems. - Practical experience optimizing LLM and AI agent workflows in production environments. - Experience in a fast-growing startup is preferred, along with motivation to work in a fast-paced team. - A portfolio of side projects or other work demonstrating technical depth, sustained curiosity, ownership, and commitment to craft. - Must be legally able to work on-site in Stockholm, including relocating if needed. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Compensation is $80,000 to $120,000 USD annually, plus equity. The salary and equity mix is negotiable, with flexibility for exceptionally senior candidates. Visa sponsorship is not available. LOCATION On-site in Stockholm, Sweden.
