Senior Automotive Embedded Software Expert - WirelessCar

We are looking for a senior automotive embedded software expert to assess what WirelessCar needs to establish this capability. Consultant Assignment – Embedded Software Capability Assessment WirelessCar is primarily a cloud software company and is evaluating an expansion into automotive embedded/on-board software. The consultant shall: Assess our current capabilities and identify gaps toward embedded/on-board development. Define required competencies, roles and organization. Identify required development processes, tools, CI/CD, testing and infrastructure. Assess requirements related to ASPICE, Functional Safety (ISO 26262), Cybersecurity (ISO 21434) and other relevant automotive standards. Evaluate relevant technologies and platforms such as Embedded Linux, QNX and AUTOSAR. Clarify typical responsibilities between OEM, Tier-1 and software supplier. Recommend what WirelessCar should build internally vs. source/partner. Propose a practical roadmap for establishing the capability, including a suitable first pilot. Expected outcome A clear gap analysis and recommended roadmap describing what WirelessCar needs in terms of people, technology, processes, organization and investment to start delivering automotive embedded/on-board software. Required profile The consultant should have broad, hands-on experience from automotive embedded/on-board software development and preferably experience from both OEM and Tier-1 environments. The consultant should have strong knowledge in areas such as: Automotive embedded software development and software architecture ECU/domain/central compute environments Embedded Linux, QNX and/or AUTOSAR (Classic and Adaptive) Vehicle communication and interfaces (e.g. CAN, Ethernet, SOME/IP) Automotive software development lifecycle CI/CD and DevOps for embedded software Hardware/software integration and testing Software deployment, diagnostics and OTA Functional Safety (ISO 26262) Automotive Cybersecurity (ISO/SAE 21434) Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) Configuration, release and variant management OEM/Tier-1 development models and supplier responsibilities Production, homologation and lifecycle considerations relevant to onboard software We offer continuously.
