Senior Capital Expert
Brocc is a specialised niche credit institute on a bold and transformative growth journey, fueled by strong institutional backing and a clear strategic vision. Positioned at the forefront of the European credit market, Brocc combines deep heritage in consumer finance with cutting-edge technology and expertise in NPL acquisition and restructuring, building a best-in-class debt finance platform that supports clients across the full credit lifecycle.
With substantial capital resources, an ambitious growth agenda, and a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture, Brocc is uniquely placed to shape the future of the credit ecosystem. As we scale across new markets and asset classes, a robust and well-managed capital position is central to how we operate, and to how we earn the trust of clients, partners, and supervisors.
Now, we're looking for a Capital Expert to take end-to-end ownership of our capital framework and act as the bank's trusted internal advisor whenever capital considerations shape strategy, new products, or business decisions.
What you'll do
You'll own Brocc's capital framework end-to-end, ensuring full compliance with CRR, CRD and Swedish FSA capital regulations while working closely with the Board, ALCO, executive management and the regulator. In practice, that means:
- Owning the ICAAP end-to-end — methodology, stress testing, and drafting the ICAAP document — coordinating inputs from Risk, Finance and the business, and presenting the outcome to executive management and the Board.
- Owning and maintaining the recovery plan, including recovery indicators, trigger levels, escalation procedures and the menu of recovery options, plus the annual update and testing cycle.
- Acting as Brocc's interpreter of capital regulation — concluding on CRR/CRD, EBA guidelines and Q&As, and Swedish FSA requirements, and documenting interpretations so they're applied consistently.
- Monitoring regulatory developments, assessing their impact on our capital position, and translating upcoming changes into concrete actions.
- Serving as the go-to internal advisor on capital, supporting Finance, Risk, Compliance, Credit and the business units on how new transactions, products and initiatives affect capital consumption.
- Driving optimisation of our capital position, RWA composition and the own funds stack across CET1, AT1 and Tier 2, and owning Capital Planning process, internal capital limits, triggers and early warning indicators.
- Owning capital instruments from a capital perspective: structuring new issuances, reviewing terms to secure own funds eligibility under CRR, and handling calls, redemptions and permission applications to the Swedish FSA.
- Being the primary point of contact for capital matters with the Swedish FSA and other supervisory bodies, and raising capital competence across the organisation through internal training.
Who you are
You know capital regulation deeply enough to form a view and defend it. You're structured and precise in quantitative work, you translate complex capital topics into clear, decision-ready insight for senior stakeholders, and you have the confidence and integrity to hold a well-reasoned position in front of the Board and the regulator.
More specifically, you bring:
- A Master's or Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in capital management, regulatory interpretation, or a related role within a bank, financial institution, or regulator.
- Solid knowledge of CRR/CRD, Pillar 1 and Pillar 2 frameworks, and Swedish FSA capital regulations.
- Working knowledge of capital instruments (AT1 and Tier 2), including eligibility criteria, terms and conditions, and issuance documentation.
- Demonstrated experience with ICAAP processes, stress testing, and internal capital models, as well as recovery planning and Pillar 2 capital assessments.
- Experience of regulatory interactions — preparing submissions and applications, responding to information requests, and taking part in supervisory dialogue and reviews.
