Om rollen As a Senior Cloud Data Engineer within a Client Reporting team, you will work with business-critical data flows and reporting solutions while actively contributing to technical design decisions and development. The reporting domain is undergoing a major transformation, moving from legacy platforms to a modern cloud-based data ecosystem on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The team's mission is to make data accessible, reliable, and easy to consume, enabling data-driven decision-making and supporting next-generation digital solutions. As a Senior Cloud Data Engineer, you will: Drive and contribute to the technical roadmap for data and integration solutions. Work hands-on with technical design, development, implementation, and maintenance of applications within the reporting domain. Design, build, and modernize data pipelines, APIs, and data products. Bridge legacy systems with a modern cloud-native architecture on GCP. Collaborate closely with architects, product owners, and other stakeholders across the organization. Ensure solutions align with technical standards, best practices, and target architecture. Who you are: You are a senior data engineer with a strong cloud background who enjoys combining strategic thinking and technical design with hands-on development. You are comfortable working in complex environments and thrive in collaborative, agile teams. We believe you have: Several years of experience in software development and data engineering. Proven hands-on experience delivering solutions on GCP or a similar cloud platform. Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, with experience working with BigQuery. Experience building scalable data solutions using technologies such as BigQuery, Dataform, Airflow, Pub/Sub, and Docker. Solid understanding of modern data architectures, including data warehousing and event-driven architectures. Experience with ETL processes and data modelling, including dimensional modelling and/or Data Vault. Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, and Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform). Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
