Senior Credit Analyst
You found the problem in the data. You worked out what should change. You made a convincing case. And then… it became a recurring agenda item. If that sounds painfully familiar, we should talk. At Anyfin, we want a Senior Credit Analyst who will do the analysis and help change the decision. Someone who can spot a rule that no longer makes sense, work out a better one with the team, get it into our automated decisioning and see what actually happens. Credit you can stand behind The world has become remarkably good at making it easy to borrow. We’re focused on making expensive borrowing easier to get out of. Anyfin helps people refinance costly consumer credit on better terms. For that to work, we need to know when we can responsibly say yes, when we should say no and how to price the risk. Good decisions make a difference to customers, the health of our portfolio and our ability to help more people. We’re profitable, have a banking licence and prepare to enter new markets. There is plenty left to figure out and real room for you to shape how we do it. The actual job You’ll join a small credit team and work closely with data scientists, engineers, legal and analysts across Anyfin. You’ll get into questions like: Are we declining customers we could serve well? Is a long-standing rule still protecting us, or has it just become familiar? What happens to losses six months after we change pricing or approvals? Which assumptions can travel with us into a new market and which need to stay behind? We like dashboards. We like better decisions more. Automated decisioning is already central to our business. Our tech team has also built an AI-connected data and code environment, with plenty of room to bring those capabilities closer to everyday credit work. You don’t need to arrive with AI expertise. Bring strong credit judgment and curiosity about better ways to investigate, test and implement ideas; we can explore the tools together. The people At some companies, credit gets called in to put a number on someone else’s idea. At Anyfin, people who understand consumer lending helped build the company. You’ll find people across the business who grasp why a small change in approvals, pricing or losses matters. Sometimes a little too well. Bring a beautifully simple recommendation and someone from another team will have read the appendix. We prefer it that way. Even when it’s mildly infuriating. We’re perhaps a little too proud of how ridiculously smart our colleagues are. Tell them that and they’ll ask for the sample size. Tell them the opposite and they’ll challenge your methodology. Luckily, they’re generous with what they know, easy to laugh with, and quite happy to change their minds when you make a better case. As long as you can back it up. This sounds like you if… You’ve spent several years doing quantitative work in unsecured consumer credit personal loans, credit cards or similar products. You’ve designed or improved underwriting criteria, ideally in automated decisioning. You can investigate the data yourself, understand the regulatory boundaries and explain your judgment clearly. More than anything, you can tell us about something you drove. Not just the analysis you delivered, but the decision you changed, how you got others on board and what happened afterwards. Experience from a fintech, challenger bank or specialist consumer lender is valuable. German or Finnish market knowledge, or experience in loss prevention, would be a bonus. This is a senior individual contributor role. If you want influence through expertise and action, you’ll have it here. If what you mainly want next is a management title, this probably isn’t your role. The role is based in Stockholm. If you’d rather change the decision than add another slide, we’d love to meet you. Apply, and let’s talk about what we could make better together.
