Senior Data Engineer / ML Engineer – Databricks We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer / ML Engineer to join a technology-driven company. The role combines hands-on Data Engineering in Databricks with practical Machine Learning. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working with data platforms and pipelines, but who also has experience maintaining and developing production ML models – for example within forecasting, recommendations or similar applications. The assignment You will work as part of the data/technology organization, contributing to the development and continued improvement of data and ML capabilities. The role is particularly suited to someone who combines solid Data Engineering experience with hands-on ML experience and enjoys working close to the actual data, models and production environment. We are looking for experience in: • 2–3+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks in a Data Engineering capacity • Practical experience with Machine Learning, including developing, deploying and/or maintaining ML models • Experience with production ML use cases such as forecasting, recommendation systems or similar • Strong understanding of data pipelines, data processing and modern data platforms • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the wider engineering and data teams We are specifically looking for hands-on ML experience. Experience primarily involving LLMs or AI-assisted development is not sufficient; experience with maintaining and working with actual ML models in production is important.
