Senior Data Scientist

We are looking for experienced Data Scientist to our team in Espoo or Tampere! This permanent position involves a variety of tasks in data and analytics within our customer projects – the role can be tailored according to your preferences and skills. We help our customers in developing their business through digitalization. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, solve problems, and implement data-driven solutions. You will join a team of experienced professionals from different areas of software expertise. We work in a hybrid mode, but in this role we expect strong presence in Espoo or Tampere. As a Data Scientist at Etteplan, the role would include (but not be limited to): Turn industrial data into meaningful insights and actionable decisionsProduce device failure and maintenance models as well as assess energy usage and usability facetsDesign meaningful KPIs to support the business cases and facilitate data-driven decision makingProviding guidance and hands-on expertise on integrating AI methodologies into their business processesStaying up to date with the latest developments in data science and agentic workflows We are looking for a person who has: Proven experience as a Data Scientist with industrial use casesWorking experience about agentic workflows and toolsExperience with productizing models i.e., moving from notebook prototypes into a live production systemExperience with anomaly detection and predictive maintenance using sensor dataProficiency in data profiling and visualization (e.g. Python, Power BI)Experience with data manipulation and analysis tools (e.g. SQL)Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, Google, etc.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailAn applicable educational background We appreciate also, if you are familiar with: Data architecture paradigms such as Data warehouse/lake/vault/mesh, etc.Data warehouses and analytics solutions like Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, FabricIIoT solutionsReal-Time data processingGenAI algorithms, tech and methodologies: RAG, LLMs, Vision models, Unstructured data normalization, etc.Agentic SDLC At Etteplan we ensure that your compensation is fair and transparent.
