Senior Design Leader
the opportunity to follow your design solutions from development through to the finished product.
**About the role**
As a Design Engineer, you will work with the mechanical design of components and solutions in plastics, sheet metal and tubular structures for wheel loaders and articulated haulers. You will contribute to product development and improvement work in collaboration with colleagues and other functions, taking responsibility for the quality of the team’s deliveries. You will work closely with Product Design in Gothenburg to bring new design languages to our machines. This calls for a strong understanding of plastics, sheet metal and tubular structures, and how to translate design concepts into functional, manufacturable solutions. You will also take the lead on design-related topics and act as a point of contact for other departments. By driving collaboration, coordinating discussions and working across functions, you will help ensure that the team’s deliverables are completed successfully. Your work will focus on exterior components for wheel loaders and articulated haulers.
## **Who are you?**
You enjoy combining technical expertise with an open and solution-oriented approach. You are positive, flexible and a team player with an interest in innovation and product development. You are keen to learn and develop, both individually and as part of a team, and are willing to take the lead when needed. You are comfortable taking initiative and stepping forward when the situation calls for it. You communicate clearly and enjoy working across departmental boundaries, while taking responsibility for the team’s shared deliverables.
You have:
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification
- Experience from leading teams
- Experience in mechanical design
- Strong communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
- Experience with Creo or another 3D modelling tool
Experience or knowledge in any of the following areas is an advantage:
- Construction equipment or heavy vehicles
- Design of sheet metal, plastics or tubular components

- Lean and Agile ways of working
- Experience from a senior position
