Partner with commissioning teams to test, validate, and optimise electrical systems during deployment and operation. Develop a deep understanding of datacentre electrical infrastructure, design, and operational requirements. Support 24x7x365 datacentre operations, ensuring the reliability and availability of critical electrical systems. Serve as the onsite technical authority for large-scale, mission-critical electrical infrastructure. Establish, maintain, and improve maintenance programmes, operating procedures, and safety standards for highly redundant electrical systems. Lead operational support for electrical infrastructure across one or more datacentre facilities within a campus environment. Drive operational excellence through proactive risk management, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications Required Qualifications Extensive technical engineering experience in electrical systems, critical infrastructure, or related engineering disciplines. OR Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, combined with substantial technical engineering experience. OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, combined with substantial technical engineering experience. Security Requirements The successful candidate must meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including successful completion of the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with additional experience supporting large-scale critical infrastructure environments. Experience working in mission-critical facilities such as datacentres, utilities, industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, or similar high-availability environments. Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems, maintenance strategies, reliability engineering, and operational best practices. Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives, solve critical infrastructure challenges, and drive operational improvements.
