Senior Facility Management Lead

About the Role You will take a central role in shaping and improving a complex workplace environment that supports R&D and design activities. The role spans the full facility area, from contracts and landlord relations to office changes, relocations, safety, and asset management. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization and help ensure that facilities support both day-to-day operations and a high-quality employee experience. Job Description You manage facility-related contracts, monitor agreement periods, and drive negotiations, terminations, subleasing opportunities, and contract updates. You act as a key interface with landlords and external stakeholders, building strong relationships and maintaining a clear overview of lease agreements. You help the team evaluate facility usage and identify improvements that strengthen the working environment, increase space efficiency, and reduce operational costs. You lead initiatives that improve workplace functionality, employee experience, and cost performance within the facility area. You drive facility-related change and development projects, including office updates and relocations, with focus on delivery, stakeholder alignment, and successful implementation. You support the management and disposal of facility assets such as furniture and equipment, and help ensure they remain fit for purpose. You take part in safety walks for common office areas and support compliance and a safe working environment. You support insurance portfolio coordination together with the Head of Facility Management and the insurance broker. Requirements You have 8-12+ years of experience in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration or related field. You have knowledge of working in R&D and Design environments. You have experience in budget management and cost management. You have experience in negotiations and contract management. You have strong commercial awareness and financial acumen. You are comfortable leading projects and taking a hands-on approach to finding solutions. Full Driving license required You have experience with Office 365 and SharePoint. Nice to have Knowledge of SAP.
